Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ChainAttest website, application, and related services (“Service”) operated by ChainAttest (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Operator: ChainAttest (sole trader trading as ChainAttest). For paid orders, Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record and appears as the seller on receipts. Product support: [email protected].

1. The Service

ChainAttest provides software tools for monitoring on-chain token contracts, running compliance-oriented checklists, and assisting with security review of smart contract source code. The Service is informational and assistive. It does not constitute legal, regulatory, tax, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for a formal audit, legal counsel, or regulatory approval.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security or abuse risk. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service.

3. Plans, billing, and Merchant of Record

The Service offers a free allowance and prepaid scan packs with usage limits (such as scan credits and portfolio tokens) described on our pricing page. Credits are one-time prepaid units and do not renew as a subscription unless we later offer that separately. We may change pack features or pricing with reasonable notice for future purchases.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns/refunds for purchases processed through Paddle, in accordance with applicable law and Paddle’s buyer terms.

By buying a pack, you also agree to Paddle’s applicable Checkout Buyer Terms (or other Paddle buyer terms shown at checkout) and our Refund Policy. Tax invoices and receipts for paid orders are issued by Paddle as the seller of record.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to bypass usage limits, probe systems without authorization, upload malicious code, interfere with other users, or use the Service in violation of applicable law. You must have the right to submit contract addresses, source code, and related data you provide to us.

5. Intellectual property

We retain ownership of the Service, branding, and underlying software. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process your submissions solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SCAN RESULTS AND AI-GENERATED OUTPUT MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE; YOU MUST INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY BEFORE RELYING ON THEM.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law (including mandatory rights of consumers in the EU/UK).

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request account deletion, contact us as described in our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive will survive.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent. If you change product terms or refund policy, you should also notify Paddle as required by your seller agreement.

10. Contact

Questions about these Terms: contact form or email [email protected].

Payment, invoice, or refund questions for Paddle-processed orders: contact Paddle via your Paddle receipt or paddle.net, and/or email us and we will coordinate where appropriate.
